I’ve realised that beauty, the kind that awakens your soul to new possibilities, is oftentimes hidden from plain sight. You have to go and immerse yourself in the ugly, in the raw, in the terrible reality of life before you can find it. I suppose it serves a purpose other than to satisfy your visual hunger which is nothing but a shallow undertaking, really. Real beauty should give you one hell
of a spiritual orgasm, propel you to heights unknown, and leave your brain scrambling to make sense of the awe. Some people find it in other people while others find it unexpectedly in various forms like a picture perfect tree or the view from thousands of kilometres above sea level.
No matter where, who, when you find it, I hope you bask in the moment for as long as you possibly can. We don’t get so many in chances in life but remember, the ones we do get are those that are designed to change our lives.
